By following the steps outlined in this article, you can easily set up your own FTP server using your OneDrive account. Using OneDrive as an FTP server offers a convenient and efficient way to store and transfer files. This means that you can access and edit your files from any device that has access to your OneDrive account, making it incredibly convenient for collaboration and file management. One advantage of using OneDrive as an FTP server is that any changes made to the files on the server will automatically sync with other devices connected to your OneDrive account. Similarly, you can download files from the server to your local machine by dragging and dropping them in the opposite direction. You can upload files to the server by dragging and dropping them from your local machine to the FTP client interface. Once connected to your OneDrive FTP server, you can now transfer files just like you would with a traditional FTP server. Transferring Files Using OneDrive as an FTP Server Click on the “Connect” button, and your FTP client should establish a connection to your OneDrive FTP server.FTP server address: ftp://your-onedrive-link.Open your preferred FTP client and enter the following information to connect to your OneDrive FTP server:.Some popular options include FileZilla, WinSCP, and Cyberduck. There are many FTP clients available, both free and paid. Now, you will need an FTP client to connect to your OneDrive FTP server.Copy the link provided, as you will need it later.In the sharing options, choose “Anyone with the link can edit.”.Next, select the folder you just created and click on the “Share” button.You can give it any name you prefer, for example, “FTP Server.” Create a new folder in your OneDrive account to serve as the FTP server root directory.First, open your OneDrive account either through the web interface or the OneDrive app on your computer.If you don’t have an account, you can easily sign up for one on the Microsoft website. To begin, you will need to have a Microsoft account and access to OneDrive.
